HOW THE SIGNAL PATH WORKS

Charging power starts after the communication is established.

When an electric vehicle is connected, the charger first exchanges status and charging parameters through its communication system. The EVCC and SECC communication boards support identification, charging negotiation, Plug & Charge, and other high-level communication functions.

  • PLC communication carries high-frequency signals through the control pilot path.
  • The communication front end must work alongside power modules, contactors, DC/DC conversion, and complex EMC conditions.
  • Stable signal transmission helps avoid slow handshakes, communication interruptions, and charging-session failures.
